About
Soren Odom is a film composer and multi-instrumentalist from Mobile, Alabama. Starting with a dream to be rock star, Soren became enthralled with movies and the music that makes them special.
Keeping his love of The Beatles in his back pocket, he started down the road towards unraveling the secrets of John Williams, Hans Zimmer, and Bernard Hermann. Dramatic film music and songwriting have been a growing creative drive ever since. He received his Master's Degree in film scoring from the Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program, helmed by Hollywood composing/orchestration veteran Hummie Mann. He also received two bachelor's degrees from the University of South Alabama; in both Film and Music Education. Soren has arranged music for a variety of ensembles including: orchestra, wind ensemble, marching band, percussion ensembles, steel band, and voice, to name a few.
Soren currently lives in Burbank, California, and continues to work on projects in Los Angeles and his native town of Mobile, Alabama, with long time collaborators. He has written music for several shorts, feature length productions, stage plays; as well as songs, in various styles/genres, for himself and other artists.
